Behind Rumbly

Rumbly Eats is an anti-shame food log built by one person in Canada. No team, no investors — just someone who wanted a calorie tracker that doesn't treat every late dinner like a moral failure.

Why open beta

Every photo and voice log uses AI (OpenAI's vision and language models). Each request costs real money — fractions of a cent, but they add up across users. To keep the app sustainable on a personal budget, there's a daily AI cap: 10 photos + 10 voice logs per day per person. Beyond that, manual logging always works for free.

The app itself is free for everyone. No premium tier exists right now. There's no upgrade you can buy that unlocks more AI — the cap is the same for everyone.

If you'd like to chip in

If Rumbly helps you and you'd like to help cover the AI bill, you can drop something in the tip jar below. It funds OpenAI tokens directly. No feature unlocks, no perks, no badge — just goodwill.

Buy me a coffee → Opens buymeacoffee.com in a new tab. No feature unlocks.

Roadmap

Open beta is the validation phase. If retention looks healthy, the plan is to add a Pro tier later this year with extras (unlimited AI, Coach Insights, What-If simulator). Founder Lifetime — a one-time $79.99 lifetime pass capped at the first 200 supporters — will also unlock at that point. None of that exists today.
